Right by the popular scenic spot, Mikata Five Lakes, the roadside station is a perfect place to relax and calm mind, enjoying the beautiful view over the lakes that changes throughout the year and the chirping of the wild birds. Since Wakasa is the biggest producing center for plums on the Japan Sea side of the country, the direct sales depot offers many plum products in the season, filling the store with the fruity, sweet aroma. They also have bicycles for rent, and many enjoy a cycling tour from here on a sunny day.
